Ok, so my title is not original, but unfortunately rather accurate. So last night the Senate version of ObamaCare passed the House of Representatives.
What do we get with the new law?
- A Huge Entitlement Program which will ultimately ration healthcare.
- Increased power of the Federal Government
- Higher Federal Deceits
- Lots and lots of new taxes for everyone
- Federal Lawsuits from individual states challenging the constitutionality of the new law
- Loss of jobs (see new taxes)
- One step closer to a "single payer" system (i.e. socialized medicine)
The American people voted for change ... and change is what they're going to get. Higher taxes, more debt, a depressed job market and government control over every aspect of their health care. If that's change you can believe in, they you have a pretty bizarre belief system.

Boo! I disagree. My mother got laid off from a good job and bc of a pre-existing condition, she can not obtain healthcare on her own. Her job does not provide it, and as much as she's tried, she is unable to obtain a job with benefits. She is not one to rely on anyone for anything, but she will die if her cancer were to come back. It's easy not to agree that everyone deserves healthcare when you've been fortunate enough to have it all your life. I work with many doctors, most of whom are 50+, and they support Obama and the bill, maybe not every detail, but the bill overall. They've seen too many ppl slip through the cracks.

I agree it could have been better, but I am glad something is being done.
